Directions

Have a look at Moving around in Düsseldorf for information about the transportation system.

University Campus

Düsseldorf Hbf (main station) and the university campus (ESSLLI site) are connected by two direct lines:

  • Tram 707, departs in front of the train station, direction Universität Ost when going to the university (21 minutes). Get off at the terminal stop.
  • Subway U79, access from within the train station, direction Uni Ost/Botanischer Garten when going to the university (12 minutes). Get off at the terminal stop.

Since the two lines share their terminal stop Universität Ost, you can take all trains from there to go back to the main station. To go to the city center, take U79 to Heinrich-Heine-Allee, or go to the main station and change to a suitable train there.
